IDFG is taking some samples this weekend and I am a part of the Magic Valley Fly Fishers and we have been asked to help, so I will be heading down there and then doing some fishing afterwards, so if you're in the neighborhood stop by.

I'll keep an eye out for you. I have a student working for the Fish and Game. He is going to give me a report on what was found. We will be in a large jet boat pulled by a white GMC. My friends outfit. I have several friends that are members of the MV fly fishers. Good luck and stay safe.

I am a reservist for the F&G. I didn't hear about what was going on down there this time. Several years ago this weekend we electroshocked at night to sample walleye. I took a picture of one of the workers and a HUGE walleye. That picture was in the F&G newsletter. Ron

Wellcome to the forum! We had a very windy sand blowin morning there today. Yesterday was nice. They had more nets yesterday and the walleye greatly out numbered the trout. I wasn't there but this is what I was told.
Today it was the opposite on the trout to walleye count and all taken looked in great shape. They were looking for the Hybrids they put in last year and found a few.
It was too windy to put in at Grey's so we drove around and put in at Antelope Bay, still breezy but not white caps.
I found 2 trout one kept my fly as a suvenoir of our meeting the other jumped a few times then headed for China, Man did she fight, bet it was close to 5 min.
Didn't have any other takers.
We fished from 10-3
Water temp was 42-44
wind was everywhere
was over 20' water but got up to 40'
Here's the pics of the day

Good to see you also. Wish the catching had been better, but the fishing is great. Sorry I couldn't talk more but you saw me with a big line mess. I guess I'll have to learn to fish. We caught 4 none to brag about. The wind was a bugger. See you again.

Those on Saturday morn were in the 2# range but the had said the were a couple over 25" Friday morn. It sounded like the walleye were doing well as well as the trout in general.
