You sent me a PM but the message didn,t come through so i hope you see this. You can launch at the island you just have to back in a ways the bottom is pretty hard. I usaully launch on the other side of the dock but people use both sides. I don't know if you would have a problem without 4 wheel drive i always lock mine in. Just take care it's shallow, good luck.
