Was planning on going out fishing this afternoon with my son and my father in law. Was just wondering if anyone had the latest on how the American Falls Res is doing. Had planned on heading the Preston way but if I could stay more local I would prefer. I will check back to see if theres anything and if not you can read the report on the Preston area later [].

No carp, not even any whitefish, it was super hot when the ice was first off... but just in the last 2 - 3 weeks it has completly died i was there last week wed/thurs/fri/sat along with about 30 other people and I only saw maybe 4 fish landed in 4 days all around 2lbs, I took a hike below the dam just to see the water conditions getting me all excited for the opener, there was billions of carp circling down there, look like a big tornato in the water. haha Im up in yellowstone now lifes Great!

Should start seeing carp in a few weeks.

I know they really get going fairly soon, just wanted to see if there were some early fish up shallow like I have found in years past.
