Scott, his brother, and dad are down for the weekend. We are fishing light tackle for catfish. I told them we probably wouldn't get anything big, but we would get into some cats. We are going back this evening sometime. We have been touring around our city this afternoon. Doug caught a 42 lb blue on 8 lb test line. We broke off a few other fish, and I got a 16 lber. We were getting ready to go to lunch when we decided to make a drift back . We hooked 2 on the drift, ran back up. Michael lost what looked like a big fish. Then I had a big one, and we did not have a scale big enough for it. I don't know how much it weighed, but I was howling when I landed it on 8 lb line, one of my bass rods. Maybe Richard will give a guess. I called RSIMMS right away, I've never landed one like that on light line. I was euphoric, and we were just going crazy as that blue towed us all around. We had to chase it several times so it would not spool me. It was the best fight I have ever had. Thank goodness we could chase it with the motor, because it was just ripping drag just swiminng around. We broke the net and bent my grippers on it. I hope you like the pics. My Indiana buddies keep saying something about moving to Chattanooga now! Sam
