The state park boat ramp is in the water and should be useable for a while longer, though the water is starting to drop as downstream users take the water for irrigation. Catfish have been taken regularly and the cat fishing is still good. Minnow patterns or earthworms fished near the bottom where the creeks enter the lake or in deep water near the dam are the hot spots.

Trout fishing has started to slow down as the water warms up. Fishing has been slow for the larger carryover trout, while fishing for the 10 to 12 inch planters has been fair. Perch fishing has been good with anglers using chartreuse or white crappie jigs tipped with worms. Shore anglers have been doing well for perch off of the rocks just south of the state park boat ramp. Boaters have been catching perch in many spots with the favorites being at the mouth of the canyon and near the warm springs. Bass fishing has also been sporadic with most of the usual bass habitat being out of the water. Bass must be released until July 1st.
