I launched at Provo Harbor at about 7am and headed over to the knolls. The white bass fishing was not quite as fast as it was for me last week but it was still pretty good. I think I ended up with about 23 whities in about 3 hours. The highlight of the morning was a 24 inch cat that hit my silver blue fox spinner in about 2.5 feet of water. I have always heard of cats hitting lures and spinners but that is the first time one hit for me. I didn't have my fish scale with me but he was pretty fat and heavy. I ended up having a few engine problems on the boat so I decided to head back a little earlier than I wanted.

I have had a cat hit a spinner 2 seasons ago out of Lincoln beach. It was a surprise to me but Fishhound says they will hit anything that passes in front of them. I have also had a cat hit a crank bait being trolled at Willard.
