#1
My brother and I went down to Yuba yesterday. An hour in and my brother hooked into this. Rest of the day was slow.

Wow! that's an amazing fish! What were you throwing? I'd love to get down there and learn how to catch fish that could eat most of the fish I catch!

Well if you are going to catch just one fish nothing better than a pike! They are good eating and are in abundance at yuba so dont let people make you feel that you have to catch and release them. They have become the main predators in there now and they are keeping the walleyes from making a big comeback.

By the way, very nice catch. I would love to catch a fish like that, in fact, maybe someone could also educate me on how long the pike fishin will be ideal at Yuba, is it water temp? is it air temp or time of year? What is making it ideal right now?

you can catch pike in Yuba year around.. from right now till the ice hit's is the best time to try for them.. i have found trolling with big rapalas to be the best way of catching them..

one's that look like these's pic below.. note the one in the bottom left was destroyed by a 38 inch 16 and 1/2 lbs pike last year..
