Catfishing At Swan Falls Dam?
#1
Does anyone know how the catfishing is around Swan Falls Damn? I have never been there before and i dont even know if there are a lot of cats out there. Or does anyone suggest where else may be good right now with all the water passing through.

Below the dam to Celebration Park has some great catfish holes.

I haven't fished it for a few years but it used to be good and I'm sure it still is.

Agreed. The Celebration area has some good producing holes. Downstream I have caught many 9-12#ers. Paste bait in sponge hooks works well for me in that section. If you do head to Swan Falls let us know how you do. I have heard that spot used to be good for Sturgeon and Cats.

I might head out to celebration tonight. Usually for me the current is bad and it gets pretty weedy out there. I haven't used the sponges before but something similar. Its just a tube you put your bait in. Lately i have been using some beef steak that has been soaked in chicken and beef liver and that seems to be working okay. Is it better to fish upstream from the bridge or downstream?

Definitely downstream from the bridge. Careful though the dirt road has been torn up. I have most luck casting 25-30 feet out. Also the fishing is WAY more productive in the late hours of the night.

I am going to Swan Falls tonight, I will let you know if anything produces.

I went out to Swan tonight. I could not stay long but the fishing was going well. No luck on Catfish, but I did see some Sturgeon caught.
