lake powell last weekend

Well the weather was kind of crapy but we did get some fishing in. It was kind of slow for us but I'm not a great lake powell fisherman. I would rather be at FG but we did catch our first stripers they were pretty fun. My son nailed the biggest at about 24 inches and maybe 2 and half to three pounds. It was quite the fight for him as he was using his ultra light pole with four pound test. Any way we caught some cats and some small mouth and those stipers, we did get a couple of small bluegill and one large mouth. oh ya and one rattle snake. Crazy story but anyway had a great time. here are the pics of my sons stripers.

Tell your son congrats! That is quite the catch on 4 pound test. How big were the cats?

Nothing too big. I think the biggest was about 1 and half pounds or so, mostly small ones.
