With the season opener for coho I am excited to report an amazing harvest quota unbelievably exceeding that of last year.
The quota for hatchery bred coho between cape falcon and Humbug mountain is an awsome 88,000 fish compared to 22,500 aloud in 2002. The "selective" coho season is open June 21 to August 24th , seven days a week . Daily limit is two salmon . All coho must be adipose fin clipped . Chinook may be retained october 31st in the same area. The selective coho season may close early if the 88,000 coho quota is reached.
