For the same reason other use rafts, I am thinking of getting a Porta-bote. Does any have any experience using one? Also is there anyone who sells them locally?

Never tried one, but I hear they are pretty cool. Ive heard of people using them for years without problems. Try google- search "porta-boat reviews" You will get some great info.
