We hit the lake this morning and figured that we needed our big fish to come in the first couple of hours. They didnt, not only did they not come then but we left them out there for others to find later on.

We fished deep all day and found fish about 18 foot of water off of points as well as the river channel. The bait du jour was the jig. I caught several on carolina rig and Ryan caught a bunch on DD's but our fish we weighed came on jigs and I had our big fish on a big worm. We were out classed today but did pretty well in the conditions. By 2PM it was like an ocean of boats and wakes and at one point a house boat ran over our bouy and cut the line. After a few choice words with them I am still hoping the rope and lead is wrapped around their prop. Go to the lake one Saturday or Sunday after noon and you would have no idea we are in a recession!

After the tournament was over I went around back to see the "carnage" but there were only 5 or so bass that didnt make it and it looked like someone was going to eat those... THat is amazing to me given how deep fish were being pulled from. Great job to all keeping their water cool and fish alive!

See you all next month. ANd to the Chris's its pretty nice to be able to kick your 2nd place points yesterday out this month given your night win! Congrats on some great fishing this year
