Dad I and fished the B&B tournament last night and it was a pretty good turn out, 16 boats. We were only one of two boats to run up river. We stopped and I started fishing a 5in grean pumpkin worm and picked up our first keeper out of timber. There were some shad schooling up and my dad caught one short and missed another on a chrome rattle-trap. I caught another short on a white and red SB then we ran to another spot. We caught another keeper keeper on worm right at 15". Caught another 4 or 5 bass all shorts all on worms in about 10-14 ft of water. Then the wind stopped blowing all together and the air temp started falling and we didn't catch another fish past about 8p.m. Tried to find some topwater but no luck we headed back to the boat dock and pulled the boat out about 8:45p.m. We had only two fish for a weight of 3.70lbs but we had a blast. This was the first bass tournament my dad has ever fished and he enjoyed it as well. Great day fishing, slow day of catching. Congrats to the winners.
