EC 7-1-09 tiger trout?

hit East Canyon again today. another fun day lasted out the small rain storm and caught lots of rainbows again all in the 12-18 inch range. while fishing we caught a couple that had the markings of a tiger trout. i did not know there were any. i've been the last 2 weeks as well and have never caught any. pic provided tell me what you think. also a pic of one of the bigger rainbows

Yes, that is a tiger trout, and they are in EC. The DWR has planted tens of thousands of tiger fingelings over the last few years. They're just now getting to catchable size. With any luck there will be some bigguns in there within the next few years ;0) HTH, Fred K.
