What kind of fish is this?

I caught it in the rentention pond at work yesterday. He had really bright colors. Usually I just catch bass over there

I would say bluegill also . But we all know its a pan fish. or brim

my friend caught something like that. his was a bluegill crappie bass mix and was cool. i would say that is mainly gill with some sunfish because of the pointed dorsal and anal fins and maybe smallmouth bass because of the color. hope that helps
