need advice

I have a 6 year old daughter who has never been fishing before and is begging me to take her. We're new to the area and live in New Market, MD and I have no idea where there is a safe place to go. Not looking for anything fancy just a place where we can fish from a pier or a decent pond for some bass. Anyone recommend a place?

Check with MD Dept of Natural resources to see a list of public fishing areas

I looked around for a few minutes but not much help. It seems the Potomac is pretty good fishing right now. Check in the phone book for sporting good stores or fishing tackle, etc. Usually those guys have best info on local waters.

Don´t worry, the river isn´t dangerous, I´ve been fishing since I was two and I´ve never have problems. Take her to the water and enjoy with him a beautiful day fishing. I´m sure that she;ll like it.
