Kaysville ponds have a good variety of fish in them. Fish spinner baits parraell to the shore, for bass, for trout a clear bubble filled 3/4 full of water with about 5' of line behind it with a mosquito fly or a renegade fly, or beef liver or chicken liver for cats out further.

I also live in Layton and you can head up to East Canyon(20 minutes) through Morgan. I have had great success from the shore using worms with a marshmellow or shrimp.

Thanks guys for the help. i always get lost trying to get to east canyon and end up getting skunked at the weber[crazy]. I don't mind driving a little ways just about an hour, no more. and i'm kind of sick of catching them nasty rainbow trout. but thanks a lot[laugh]
