Smoked'em on the Logan
#1
My son & I hit the logan today.. We started fishing around 730 and i hooked fish all day long.. My son was fishing with rapalas and spiners.. Nothing for him.. Sorry son.[pirate] Well for my self it was none stop action.. I started out using San Jaun worms dropped with a olive hares ear.. They tore up the worms. Nothing on the hares ear.. Around 10:00 is slowed down so i decided to switch over to a lighting bug dropper.. Fish on non- stop.. Then i lost my only two lighting bugs.. So i tied on a flash back pheasant tail.. Fish on !! I ended up landed 23 browns.. No bows or whities.. The biggset brown was only 17" & the rest were from 6" to 15".. And of course just as i had my son try to take a photo of the big one it flipped and flopped out of my hands.. no hatches coming off today.. Oh well.. But all in all it was a great day with my son and fishing new water..

Very Nice! A little different Lightning bug. Looks like a variation to a PT and a Copper John. Larry Graham pattern.

I am use to the Orvis version

I like yours, looks like I am off to the Tying table.
Thanks for the report, and the pattern[Wink]

I too, am acustomed to the Orvis version of the Lightning Bug, although I can see why you version would still produce. Good looking fly. Love the logan! Sounds like fun!
