Hey I just got back from fishing flaming gorge and the green river. I caught a few smallies at the gorge which was fun. Anyways, I was fishing the green, starting out with my fly rod. I tried everything I had. I had one bump my adams but that's it. That river can be dang frustrating, because you can see these huge fish, but they ignore one's efforts. Anways I saw a section of the river that had faster water so I decided to stop fly fishing and used a rainbow trout patterned panther martin. I wound up catching four fish, all rainbows, two were about 10-12 and the other two were about 15. This was on the A section. I should mention that the previous night I was fishing a little bit past little hole and caught a few on hoppers and caddis. It was fun but holy cow am I burnt!
