Never fished Bountiful Pond before but from my understanding those community ponds get allot of pressure almost to the point there fish out.
I know the one's near me Daybreak, & Sunset attract tons of people most of which who dont follow the regs or cant even read the regs LOL

I personally think that the community ponds should be restricted to younguns, handicapped and Sr. Citizens, just my two cents worth.

+1000%...also after the community ponds have been stocked it's like fish'n a river in Alaska...combat fish'n.
These ponds IMHO need to be for folks who don't have the means to fish larger bodies of waters here in Utah. Including I'd like to see more DWR officers patrolling them. I'm a betting person and I'd bet a lot of tak'n to stock the freezer happens at community ponds.
Like PF just my two-bits.

I personally do not think that way.
A 1 fish limit for all persons over 18, and all barbless hooks only, yes. But if you say I can't fish too, I may not bring my kids.
These fishing spots are for all, not just the kids. The problem is adults who treat it like a fish market, not adults who fish there.
I fish B lake alot, my boy and I kayak all over it and have a blast fishing out by the islands and now know the prime kittie spots on most of the lake. We have a lot of fun, but if I can't fish with him, I probably won't take him fishing.
So address the problem, break the typical government intervention cycle of over reacting and placing restrictions on innocent people.

Good point. Someones got to take the young kids fishing and then you can't just sit and watch right? [cool] I've never had a problem getting the concept of leaving more than you take. I hardly keep any when I fish anymore, not because I don't like fish but it seems to make sense that the more you take the less there will be left. Some people just don't get it though.

Didn't say the parents shouldn't be there, just let the young ones do the fishing. Enjoy watching them and take some pictures.[cool]

And, I said that I disagreed with you. I want to fish too.
I should be able to fish to my hearts content, kids or not. These are community ponds, not kids ponds, thay have one of those at the state fair.
The problem everyone seems to have is adults harvesting to many fish, so lets address that problem and only that problem.
Barbless hooks only, to make release easier and less damaging to the fish and 1 fish per adult. That's your mistake fish, one.
