arrived at the knolls at 615 today and launched the pontoon
at 630. the lake was calm and hardly any waves at all. was a beautiful morning. at 641 the sonar sounded off with the first contact of the day. then it all went bad. the motor on the toon
quit for good. sure was glad i had the oars also. the fish alarm was sounding fairly regular with fish in 6ft to 8 ft of water. I tried it all. jigs,worms,carp meat,spoons,floating jigs
with not one bite. fished til 1030 then called it a skunk and came home. I have decided that my float tube is a lot more fun on ut lake than my toon. easier also. there were shore campers there that looked like they had been there all weekend, swimming and such.but they had nothing to do with the skunk. that just happens sometimes.
been thinking of trying lincon beach. anyone fished there lately?? also how do you get to goshen bay?? thanks all.
