Cascade
#1
Just got back from my cabin at Cascade. Fished for bass on Monday July 20th and caught 25 bass in the 15" range. Most were caught from 6 AM to 8 AM on Lucky Craft jerk baits and Sammies. Switched over to a black and blue Bitsy jig and watermelon red Zoom fluke and caught a few but slowed down and was off the lake by noon. We only fished the one day. Just too hot and decided to sleep in the rest of the week. [laugh]

Naturally there was a bass tourney on Sat and that's probably why we didn't get into anything real big. I can remember when I had those bass to myself up there and that was less than 4 years ago. Oh well! I have to admit our club fishes it too.

Some friends of ours caught over 300 perch over a 5 day period. So looks like perch fishing is good too. We didn't fish for any so I don't know what they are biting on.

I don't know how the trout and coho fishing is either but they were jumping all around us while we fished for bass. Quite a few boats trolling but never saw anyone hook up.

Which Lucky Craft Baits do you like for Bass?

For top water I use the Sammy 100 in Ghost Blue Shad.

Jerk baits I use Pointer 78 & 100 & the Bevy shad in Ghost Blue Shad & Ghost Minnow.

Cranks I use CB200 in Ghost Minnow and Chartreuse Shad.

Lipless cranks I use LV200 & 300 & the LVR10 in Mat Tiger, Ghost Minnow, Chartreuse Shad and Chartreuse Light Blue.

Any of them in a Ghost pattern seem to work the best.

Thanks for the info. If I ask for one each year on my birthday I will be set to go in ten years.[laugh]
