Hey Ocean I have a humminbrid 737 that is two years old and has all the up dates I used it one summer and then got the 797si and I love both. The 737 has a 20*/60*and 90* and you can get a tranducer that will give you side finding and you can buy the gps setup for it and the 737 will pick up my jig down to 80' and I would sale it for $250 and and new I paid $350 and you can pm me for more info. also I will be at fish lake form 30th to the 3rd.

it depends on the features that you are looking for, and how much power you need. I recently got the humminbird 565 and the features that are packed into it for $200 are pretty impressive. The 700 series as mentioned above have a ton of features in there too, with the added power of 4000 watts compared to the 2000 watts of the 565.

You get what you pay for. In your price range you can either choose a higher-end grayscale unit with GPS or a barebones color unit. I'd go grayscale/GPS (like a Humminbird 580) myself if this were all the money I could spend.
You can't go wrong with either Lowrance or Humminbird. Eagle is now made by Lowrance as their "budget" line. [signature] |
