Deer Creek Res. 7/30 Report
#1
Took my raft with the trollin' motor, fish finder, gps, and downrigger out to Deer Creek again. I was on the water by 7:30 am. Fished until 11:30 am. Totaled 9 fish, all decent, hard fighting rainbows. I caught the first few with a red wedding ring spinner tipped with some worm behind a gold/silver dodger. After a couple hours I switched to an all pink wedding ring spinner with a silver blade tipped with a piece of worm behind a silver school o' minnows popgear. It worked much better. Nice and slow at 1.7 mph according to GPS, and at a depth of 20 feet in 30 to 50 feet of water by the island. The trout deeper than 30 feet didn't seem to want to bite.

I usually post pics, but we've all seen average rainbow trout before.
