Salmon region Golden trout?

Anyone know were any of these lakes are?

I know that alpine lake has them and is probly were i will end up but wanted to see if these are shorter hikes than the 8 miles to alpine.

It has some very nice mapping features. Go to the interactive map and choose topo or photo.

Most lakes stocked with goldens are a bit of a hike in.

Baker Lake over by Sun Valley has had Goldens stocked since the 80s. It is an easy 2 mile hike. I have been there before for some nice sized fish (18 to 21in), but I can't remember if they were goldens or cutthroats then.

It is a protected trophy lake-- allowed two fish over 20 inches.

Lots of hikers from Sun Valley - most don't fish.
