Me and Beetlespin are going to try and hit the Ratman tomorrow so we went out this evening and scouted a little. He told me he was in training so it was my job to post the report. Wink Lesson #1; Before going fishing check to see if you have gas in the boat and put some in it. emoBang

We hit a couple places without much happening and after about three moves and a slick we found some pretty decent fish holding in some deep water. Did not seem to matter what we used as long as you got it in front of them. Caught fish on shakey head, drop shot, spinner baits and pig & jigs. Had three keepers but they were poor and skinny. Still had about 7 to 7.5 lbs with those three. I think we boated about 15 in all. Lances boat is very nice and really can fly when it has gas in it. emoPoke

We left that area after catching those fish there and was heading back up river when the boat started to stall. It choked and sputtered, then died. I thought I must be bad luck or something, another engine gone bad. It took a few minutes before we realized the gas gage was off and even thou it showed 1/4 tank we were out of gas. We trolled to the nearest landing and called his wonderful wife who came with a gas tank to save us. emoWorthy Got a few gallons and headed home. Overall a great evening on the water and Lance was decent company if you can believe that. emoToast Jmax
