My buddy and I went all day...started at daylight. Caught a few small ones at the break of dawn but not much action. Heading out of a cove we saw a fawn swimming across the lake. It swam to the edge, but was stuck by a steep bank and just laid down. We pulled over near it and it began swimming down the shoreline. We followed it down the shoreline until it made it on shore. It was definitely a first for both of us.

We fished every pattern we could think of. We found LM and Smallies in a few coves...caught them in less than 5 ft of water using Senko worms...pumpkin seed and red shad. The water was 81- 83 degrees and slightly stained. We caught them in the back of the coves on structure each time. Had a 17" smallie and a decent 3lb LM as the biggest fish.

It was a slow day, but beats working all day.
