I needed to get a fresh pic of me with a catfish to qualify for an upcoming catfish tournament on a catfish forum, so I snuck out for a quick trip to the current location of the dead sea. I realize now why it has been so poor for even small fish again lately. This morning I floated around and watched a commercial fisherman (Alabama registration on his boat???) pull miles (or so it seemed) of trotline that was full of 2-4 pound fish, with an occasional one maybe 8 lbs. Lots of sport fishermen in the area, and I only saw one other fish caught. I got two that together didn&#39;t weigh 5 pounds. Very discouraging. I know that the commercial fishermen probably aren&#39;t really hurting the overall cat population in the Chick, but they sure can devastate small areas for a time.<br /><br />I think I&#39;ll pull a Spurhunter and not post any pics - I wasn&#39;t smiling anyway emoDoh .
