Are there any areas where one can night fish in a lighted area around Boise? I'm a writer that works at night, and one day a week I like to unplug and do my work while fishing. I know that the CJ Strike Dam is lighted, but I'm looking for somewhere closer.

I am pretty sure that the park / pond area at Eagle and Mcmillan is closed at night. Maybe try the parkcenter bridge area on the Boise River. There are plenty of street lights nearby that would provide enough light to fish. Or try the south side stretch of the Boise River near BSU. That section is fairly well lighted too.

Thanks. I may have to invest in a lantern.
Do the parks at Lucky Peak stay open 24 hours?

A head lamp is a great tool . I use them for hunting and fishing . Where ever you point your head you have light leaving your hands free to do what ever you need done . With the new LED bulbs batterys last a long time . Curt G.

I have an LED headlight, but I find that when I use it, I get suicidal bugs doing kamikaze runs on my eyeballs. Gets downright uncomfortable. [crazy]
Maybe with a lantern, it won't be as much of an issue.
