Hunting in Boise area
#1
Newer to this area and the first year I'm going to hunt in Idaho. Looking for ideas for deer elk and bear hunting in the Boise area. Any ideas would be helpful.

I'm not sure about the elk and bear in that part of the state but I can tell you if I was over there I would be spot and stalking a big mule deer with my bow

Unit 39 is always popular with lots of nice animals killed in that unit. Very close to Boise...... Check the harvest stats on IDFG web site.

I beg to differ on the "nothing there" comment. The unit does get hunted hard. As I said, it is popular. I also know of a lot of very nice animals that have come from that unit......

I guess you didn't catch the Wink. I just got back from 5 days in 39 watching bucks most people would die for. Then again it almost killed me getting to them.

I caught the Wink. It usally runs that way. I used to hunt an area in Montana that was busy as anything untill you got at least two miles off the nearest road then you saw no one.
