New tuber almost born

I went to Bass Pro Shops with my best friend yesterday and got a TFO fly rod, waders, boots...........for him.
Also we ordered 3 fly reel (one for me) from cabelas
and fish cat4 for him.
Just couple more things and his going to be ready
to go[]
Tomorrow we going to park to practice some more
fly casting with his new rod (my reel and line)
He cant wait go get out there and try everything. Makes
me happy as well.
He is a very good guy and I think that is going to be
good for him.
I just tought that I share.

Reminds me of when I was like 14 or 15, in a rental boat with my buddy and his dad (who brought us to the lake).
I was flingin' flies (did that regularly back then) and caught my friend's dad on my backcast. I half-jokingly blamed it on my friend.

I had hooked his dad in the back (I think it was only in the shirt, although I can't remember for sure) so he couldn't really see where the line was coming from. Pretending that it was my friend that actually hooked him, seemed to be working so I never let up and I don't think he ever found out it was me.
