I always see alot of post on here about the weber. 98% of these posts are about the area of coalville and wanship. I enjoy fishing The lower weber even down to the conflunce of the ogden river on 21st street. I never see to many people down there, but I also dont catch as many fish in this region either. However the ones i do mange to pull out are often larger than than the the fish that i catch up river. The fish i do catch are almost all browns or white fish. My resoning for posting this is to ask any of you if you fish this region. If so how much suceess have you had down here and maybe a pattern or 2 that might help out. I have fished scuds and other nymphs to varing sucess. It just doesnt seem the same bugs that work high produce down low. So if you do have anything you would like to share would like to hear. or maybe even a story or to

I almost always use streamers on that section. It doesn't matter what time of year either. Number six black mohair is my favorite for that section. I don't get off on the white fish. I've caught to many of them on the madison. The streamers keep me from having to deal with them. Nothing worse than hooking a nice heavy fish then realizing a few seconds onto the fight that its another slow moving 2lb white fish.

I dont dig the whites either. i would rather not catch them either. Most of the time its like pulling in dead wait. I have tried some streamers with some success. are you drifting them or stripping them? because i have had fish both ways but maybe you know a little more about this area than i can claim

I got to disagree with you on that im not a big fan of the white fish either but I had some whities airborn and fight just as hard as a brown or cut. Yes some are lazy and just dart up and down the river but Ive had some real bruiser browns that did that [Wink]

There is some access to this part. a good place to start is at fort buenaventura or towards 31st street. These are just some but there are more you have to be willing to wade the river plenty but can acces lots of streches of river with very few fishermen
