We took another trip to Mexico Beach with Dlancas last week and fished almost every day. We went out to various reefs up to 9 miles catching Kingfish, Snapper (now out of season), Grouper, Triggerfish, and a lot of Sharks. We also got some new numbers for unpublished structure from some divers we met on the water. We hooked several nice kings and spanish at the new spot but only got a pic of the smaller one. We ate fresh fish 3 nights of the trip

We also fished St. Joe Bay and Indian Pass for reds, trout and tripletail. The pogies were off the beach and we would net them every morning that we could find them to freeline for tarpon, which we saw rolling a couple times in the pass. On one occasion we chummed up a bunch of ladyfish and bluefish using pogies off the beach off crooked island. We eventually chummed up and jumped a huge tarpon that slammed a freelined pogie but missing the hook. It was an incredible sight right next to the boat to see one 100+ lbs out of the water. I'll be back next season for more of that! Water temp was 85.

I created this website bartering for time at this vacation rental. It's an economical place to stay with wifi and easy boat parking if anyone is interested in fishing this area. Link to the vacation rental is here: http://www.beachscent.com.

I was too busy fishing and did not get many pictures of the fish we caught. A few pics from the trip are below:

More Pics from previous trips are here:
http://www.chattanoogafishingforum.com/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=34553
http://www.chattanoogafishingforum.com/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=32264
