My grandpa is wheelchair bound...he's in a motor chair...and wants to spend a weekend at Strawberry for some fishing. Does anyone know if there are places that he can get to to do some shore fishing?

Haws Point has handicapped access. You may want to take a square nosed shovel along (if you have one) just in case there is too much gravel or sand on the paved trail in a few places.

[#000080]I haven't been to Strawberry recently enough to remember what it's like (I was just a little tyke on that fishing trip).
But I know Willard has some places at the North Marina east of it that are relatively accessible from off the sidewalk. At least they would be with my Hoveround, because it can go on slightly rough terrain (gravel, lawn/grass, dirt, mud...haven't tried sand yet)
Good luck!

[#502800]You get to Haws Point by driving right past the Strawberry Bay road and keep following the main road around the lake about 5 or 6 more miles until you see the Haws Point sign. You can see Haws Point across the lake from the Strawberry Bay [/#502800]
