Need a new pair of flats
#1
[unimpressed]Ok I currently have an older pair of hodgman flats that are wearing out. I have found a couple of different styles and not sure which one to get. Last pair I bought was back in the 90's so this is almost new to me with all the different styles/products/materials out there. Here is what I found at cabelas. Any input on these will help my decision.

Thanks

Option 1:

[cool]The Cabelas links don't work. They just go to the home page. Not sure which ones you were looking at.

The Hodgmans look good. That ridge on the back for fin straps is a bonus.

You can also check online dive shops like http://www.scuba.com/

I personally like the Hodgmans, the rubber zip-up booties with a notch on the back so the fin strap doesn't slip off. I bought the Cabela's like your Option 2 and thought they were great, but I couldn't use them - - they're very narrow and I have wide feet. Even the size 13 were too small and I wear a size 11 shoe. If they fit OK for you, you'd probably be very happy with them. I really like my Hodgman's and you can get them at Sportsman's and elsewhere.

At first I tried option 1 and ordered two different larger sizes. Had to send them both back, they were to narrow and kinda heavy. Then I tried hodgman and they were much better. I wear them with waders and went up two shoe sizes to fit with the stockingfoot.

I have a pair of these that I like quite well:

Easy on and off, and with 3mm neoprene they're stretchy enough to be comfortable over waders & socks.

Pretty cheap too!
