FLW Outdoors modifies FLW Tour schedule
#1
MINNEAPOLIS (Sept. 8, 2009) - FLW Outdoors has announced a change with the fourth qualifying tournament for 2010 on the FLW Tour schedule. The stop will move from Lake Chickamauga in Chattanooga, Tenn., to Knoxville, Tenn., and will be held on Ft. Loudoun/Tellico lakes. The dates of the tournament will also be moved from April 15-18 to April 22-25.

"We strive to continue to provide the best anglers in the world the opportunity to fish some of the best fisheries in the country for the top prizes in the sport and evaluate all our schedules and events to provide the maximum opportunity for the sport to continue to grow," said Charlie Evans, President and CEO of FLW Outdoors. "By moving this date, we are creating some separation between our tournament and a Bassmaster Elite Series tournament held in the same month."

Evans continued "This tournament will carry the momentum established by the National Guard FLW College Fishing National Championship that will be held on Ft. Loudoun/Tellico lakes April 10-12, where the best collegiate teams will be competing for $100,000 and a chance to compete in the 2010 Forrest Wood Cup."

The Bass Federation (TBF) National Championship presented by the National Guard will take place on April 22-24 in conjunction with FLW Tour event in Knoxville. The fishery for the TBF National Championship will be announced in the near future.
