Cast net or minnow trap?

I have seen the posts on these contraptions but having a hard time deciding what to get,where can you buy casting nets?

and has anyone been to strawberry latley?

[size 1]I purchased my casting net at Sportsman's but they didn't have any the last time I checked. You can purchase them from many sources online. I have been told that Bass Pro Shops online has the best deals for them. Utah law states that they "shall not exceed 10 feet in length or width", and for the minnows around here I would use mesh of no larger than 3/8". [/size]

[size 1]I have never used a minnow trap, but I bet they would work great. I prefer a casting net, because I can instantly get the fish that I need. It takes me about 20 minutes to get well over 100 minnows at Strawberry this time of year.[/size]

Cast nets are quicker, but harder to operate.

Take it out in the front yard and practice for a while,

then go up to the soldier creek boat marina and cast away!
