GIANT Koke
#1
Been fishing the past two weeks for kokanee and have been doing great! Not a whole lot of fish but thats expected when they are running. I really can't think of another cold water fish that fights like these things do.

Last thursday I got out for an hour with my friend. We were looking specifically for a HOG. We found a lot of REALLY nice ones, but not exactly what we were looking for. That is, until we came up to this really nice looking run. Sitting on the bottom was the biggest Koke I have ever seen. I tossed out my streamer and after a couple hard strips, the fish hit it on the pause. Took forever to land, but eventually we got him. I can't believe how big this koke is. Im not gonna say how long it was cause I don't want to hear peoples opinions.

Anyway........... pics. Enjoy

Again?! I seem to remember you catching a record bending Koke last year too! Congrats on one heck of a fish! I'd be curious to hear how big he was, I caught one that was 21 but that was a few weeks ago, in what I assume is a different spot, and yours looks bigger!

Did you fish the same area you did last year? If so, how many fish were there? I'm fishing the same place I did last year. There aren't as many as there have been in previous years.

Well I don't know how big it is. It could be 23-25" since you and your hands are huge.

Thanks for reporting

Fish was caught right before dark. A lot of fresh fish still. The fly I used was a two toned bunny leech in black and purple with read bead chain eyes. Still worth it to get after them!

I went to the same place as last year, but the run seemed to be quite a bit earlier than last year. not quite sure why?
