NE Muzzleloader Deer Suggestions?

I have a northeastern general muzzleloader deer tag and am looking for a place to hunt. Wouldn't mind hiking one to three hours to get away from people. Would really appreciate any ideas where there are bucks and some solitude. This past weekend we just couldn't find any bucks in an area we had permission to hunt. I usually prefer to hunt public land but thought this hunt might have been productive, and now I'm regretting it.
