Manila Creek Park Pond

Was wondering if anyone knows what happened with the development and opening of this new Community fishing pond? Was scheduled to open June 19. I have driven by about once a month and it is still closed and work on it looks like it has stopped. Beautiful location just wish it would be finished and opened to the public.

It is in Pleasant Grove right by all the boundry changes for Pleasant Grove, Ceder Hills and American Fork. The address is about 900 West and 3300 North. It is listed in the Utah Community Fishing guide with a picture of the lake.

Hi Folks,

Yes, the pond was set to open up this summer, but it has been delayed by a series of lawsuits that the previous landowner has brought against the city of Pleasant Grove. I'm looking forward to it opening too. Word has it the legal discussions are about resolved and the fishery may be open before winter.

Thanks for the information. I was worried it was the gentleman who donated the land that might be holding everything up as a fishery is not what he wanted done with it. I guess we will continue to drive by until the sign says open. It is a very nice park.
