Alaska Brown Bear hunt.
#1
Just got back from my Alaska Brown Bear hunt. It was the time of my life! Hunted for 6 days and saw 60+ bears. Saw the first less than 5 hours off the plane and the last less than 2 hours prior to getting on the plane to come home. My brother also go his bear while I was there. [Smile]

You can see all the pictures at: http://s159.photobucket.com/albums/t142/nmhahunter/Neils%20Alaskan%20Adventure/?albumview=slideshow

Sorry,

I don't have time to write the whole thing right now. Maybe I'll be able to get to it in about a week. I have so many stories I could right a short book. Everything from bear caves, to shaking hands with them in the brush, to watching my brother get 10 feet from one, to tracking a wounded bear for 5 hours in the dark, to seeing bear fights, hearing bear fights but not seeing, to catching a whale, treeing a Brownie and having him growl at us, etc. When I get time I'll bust it all out here for you.

Wow looks like you guys had an amazing trip. As i looked threw the pics it just kept getting better and better. What kind of fish were in the stream they were sure stacked. Also what was the boyee looked like something was towing it along at a good speed? Loved the pics of the bear with the fish and then fighting the other bear. would love to hear more.

Thanks for the pics. Southeast Alaska is beautiful. Where did you hunt? Any silvers still running in the streams?

Most of the fish in the river were pinks, with a few silvers (but not very many). The bouy was being pulled by the whales. I actually got to get in the whale disentanglement boat with the whale disentanglement specialist and help in getting photos of the whales. I was within about 30-40 feet on the whales during this occurance. I also got to pick up the rope that was still attached to the whale to get photos of the name/address on the marker. We were hunting in the ABC islands. Glad we found the wounded bear. If you wound a bear on this hunt and don't find it, you're done.
