My son and I got our deer on the Buck/Bull combo hunt. We didn't see any elk, but as you can see, connected on the deer. My son is 12 and it was his first big game hunt. He was so excited with his deer.

Its always fun to get the kids out on their first big game hunts. I remember my first buck like it was yesterday from the moment I saw it to the trip home and picking it up from the butcher. Were these two bucks together or shot at seperate locations? Thats a nice four point with that extra tine to make it a non-typical.

No, they were a day apart and in different areas. I didn't even bring my gun the day my son got his deer, even though I could still shoot an elk. There just aren't many or any elk in the area he shot his deer.
I was pleasantly surprised by the 3" drop tine on my deer. Made for a nice surprise when we came up on him. [signature] |
