Gator, Chickamauga, Crappie, 10/16/09, Labman
#1
The Labman and myself have been pm'ing back & forth trying to get together for a crappie trip. Had to cancell once this week due to rain but we made it out today. I picked him up at 8:00 am at CF and we fished until almost 2pm or so. We fished docks and bluffs, no luck on the bluffs but did pretty well under the docks. We didn't keep a really close count but we had at least 25 keepers and probably 6 under 10 inches. Also we caught several blue gill and 3 lm bass. I've already forgotten the watger temp but it had cooled down in the 70's I think. We used BG Shads and Panfish Assassins with 1/32 oz jig head for the most part and color didn't seem to matter except they wouldn't hit the electric chicken at all today. I was really surprized at the fish we found in less than 5 fow, most fish were caught in 3 to 10 fow today. Largest crappie weighed 1lb 4 oz.

It was a genuine pleasure fishing with The Labman, he's a great guy and a fine fisherman to boot. I hope we get to go again sometime soon.
