Fished from 7 PM to 1 AM with only 1 mud cat about 10:15, then it happened, a masked bandit came out of nowhere, he grabed my only fish and took off on a dead run.
Next time I fish the knolls I will be armed.

one time fishing on the jordan river, we had a mink come out and grab a cat fish and take it. we really didn't want to fight him for it so off he went. it was fun to see the mink but really don't want them too close.

[cool][#0000ff]At least your "bandit" had a black mask...and not black and white stripes. I have had a night trip hijacked by skunks who just moved in and started helping themselves to bait, sandwiches and everything. But, I drew the line when they wanted me to pour them something to drink. Would you believe they didn't know how to pop a top?[/#0000ff]

Four or five years ago there were a bunch of mink around the outlet dam where the Jordan leaves the lake. Some of them got pretty brazen about approaching us. I got a real hoot out of watching them try to eat a bullhead. When they'd get stabbed they would scream and attack the fish like it was a real enemy. Kinda fun to watch.

This last summer I was awakened by some growling outside my trailer. Me thinking it was a couple of raccoons yelled and said get out here. I looked out the window and went oops! Wrong critters to be yelling at. Two skunks were having an argument. I guess I startled them enough for them to leave without any discharge.
