the weeb sunday... and a tank of a bow!!!
#1
me and my weber slayin partner hit the weeb sunday all day... weather was gorgeous.. the birds were chirpin, the eagles were trying to eat the lil chirpin birds lol and the fish were being stubborn..

the browns are completely full spawn now and are bein a pain in my rear... lol they are in the riffles going bonkers.. they only wanted little minnow offerings dragged through the current in their faces...

the water is low and a blast with the site fishing... we caught a total of 10 browns 3 cutts 12 bows including one of my biggest male bows to date.. 4-5lb hooky ... gorgeous fish too!!! biggest brown was a 22 inch hooky...

my partner on the other hand had a strange day to say the least.. he caught a really big white fish on a tube?? lol and he LOST 2 browns of a life time... 1st brown ( 26" +) busted on his lure the second it hit the water (floating plug) and the second beast hit a 4 inch plastic in a baby bass color ...he fought for about 20 seconds, just long enough for us to see him... it was the biggest hookjaw we have gotten on the line and Sadly to say he did an awesome death roll and threw the jig.. the beast of a male brown was estimated at around 8 to 10lbs and near that magical 30" mark... the sheer girth of this fish we thought it was a carp at first glance!!! he was so bummed that we lost our first giant male brown that he wanted to leave that second.. well after he was done pacing and blurting out profanities of course lol.

all fish were caught on 2 to 5 inch plastics ... with the exeption of 2 fish caught on a 4" minnow plug...

here are a few pics.

anytime!!! i just like people to know what a great fishery that river is!!! besides coalville wanship and taggarts that river is way underutilized and it holds trophy size trout by anyones standards!!!
