Labman, Chickamauga, Crappie, et all, 10/28/09, solo
#1
Got a late start today, went to the gym and spin class and then had to work on the icemaker in the fridge. Put in at CFP about 11:45. Going to have to move up to the big boys ramp as very low water at my usual ramp.

Hit first dock, no crappie but 1 huge bluegill. Go to take picture with wifes camera, dead battery. emoBang Move to second dock, about 10' of water, and tons of crappie. Caught 10 keepers and 2 small ones in about 20 min. Moved on with them still biting, I like to try a lot of places. Next dock too shallow with the falling water, it is done for the winter. Moved to 3d dock, 8-12' water and some really nice fish. Caught 11 keepers there with the 2 biggest 13 1/2" each. Used BG shad as usual but mostly 1/16 oz jig. Fish were holding close to the bottom and I felt like a couple of the larger fish actually picked up the jig from the bottom when I stopped it and let it fall. Patriot was the color of the day.

Tried 2 bluff areas with nothing doing, did catch a 4# channel cat and 2 bass of about 1# on one of the channel markers.

Had to take out at the tourney ramp as my usual ramp by the beach only had 1/1/2' of water at the dock end. Going to get interesting if they drop the water another 3 or 4'. All fish returned to the lake to fight another day.

Sorry no pics, blame my wife !!

Regards, Norman
