My deer season has been mostly about wolves, but I did do some looking for deer also. Passed up 5 smaller mulies on Thursday last week, then 2 more on Saturday. Later on in the day on Saturday, called in the wolves again from over 1000 yards away. Had them at 300 or less, but never saw them, again.
Finally headed to central Idaho for some meat in the freezer action and got very lucky. Shot this buck in the first half hour. 407 yards, one shot through the heart with a 300WM. I was very pleased to say the least.
