I am thinking of going to henry's tomorrow depending on weather and was wondering if anybody knows how it's fishing and if I need to take a boat up there. I will report back on how we do.

A friend of mine went out on Tuesday and had to break up some ice with his boat. Trolling wasn't possible as thin sheets of ice were on the lake. he went out towards the middle of the lake and broke out some ice to do some jigging and got skunked.
Try and find out if the ice is melted before you head up there. I think the state docks have been pulled so be prepared to put in without docks if you take your boat.
Good luck I the weather works out for you,
I am looking foward to your report,

From what I hear we are in that inbetween period where it is difficult to fish because of skim ice and yet not solid for ice fishing. Sounds like what MatchT was talking about. If that is the case I wouldn't think there would be much of an opportunity from the bank either.

They pulled the docks on the 17 of Oct. I was there and there was a lot of very upset boaters . The parking lot was full of boats that launched with docks and when they came in they were pulled . There were people wading out waste deep to load there boats without waders , because they thought they would have docks to load with . It was realy something to watch . Curt G.

There was 1 boat that was a little west of the state park Sunday evening. No ice.
