Magnetic Net Release
#1
So I have been catching some huge fish-yeah right !!![Smile]
Anyways-what do you guys think about marnetic net
release for the net.
I would like to use it on my backpack/vest. Im not sure
if it would be better to mount it on the handle or the top
of the net.
I have see it done both ways. What do you think ?

[#008000][Image: happy.gif]Have my magnetic net release mounted to the handle. Although I seldom use a net as I prefer to release the fish while in the water. That is one of the benefits of using barb-less hooks. Oh yeah I never use a net for skunks. lol[/#008000]

To the top of the net. Easier to reach around and grab the handle.
But I also Have a leash attached to the handle and to my belt. They can fall off in the brush and you will never know it.

I dont use the net that much but I have lost some very nice fish due to not having net.
Also I tought that it maybe better for the fish not to
touch them with my hands.
Also I want to replace my net with one of those
low "impact" , fish friendy net.

That leash is to clip on clothing. They are good but I don't trust them. Clip one ring right to the back of your back pack. Should be a ring for it. The other end you will have to figure out way to hook it to the top of the net if that is the way you want to go, or clip the ring right to the eye bolt at the base of your net.

That leash is fine, clip it to a collar or something incase a branch pulls the net off.
The leas I am talking about is longer. A zinger is also nice. Once you pull the net off your back to land a fish the leash is out of the way. You can now let go of your net while cradling the fish and not worry about it sinking or floating away.

[#008000][Image: happy.gif]I use a big zinger for my wading staff. It and the magnetic release are both attached to my back collar ring on my vest.[/#008000]

Wow , I really need to see that magnet deal for sure !
I have couple of ideas how to make that magnet stay
up there without the magnet moving all over the place.
What they sell on the market is all loose kinda magnet
attachment and I don't think that will work very well.
What do you think ?
