Chesterfield directions?

So here's s dumb question for ya, I've only been to chesterfield once, i remember the turn off near Lava, but then i don't remember seeing a sign for the next turn. how do you get there from Lava?

I did a map quest search and its on Chesterfield RD. Bancroft , ID . I printed it out but left it at work . It said after you get off I15 and head toward lava you travel 19 miles to the Bancroft turn off . Then turn north . I want to go tomorrow but the forecast is not looking good . Curt G.

From Logan- straight north thru Preston - veer right coming out and head towrds Grace- straight thru Grace - croos the higway to Bancroft- take a right over the tracks and head north- follow the road and signs.

Here are my kind of directions. After you go past Lava, you go over a big hill. Just as you cross the big hill there is a road that goes off to the left. I believe there is a sign.

I got clearance from the boss to go on saturday, can't make it on fri.
I'm pretty excited, like i said i've only fished it once but it was a blast, and all of the recent reports sound great.

In my experience Chesterfield usually has an early bite. I would set up in the dark.

I always wear winter bibs, but I still get wet, then cold when there is slush on ice. Neoprene is a good idea. What kind do you have? Are they oversized to allow breathability or layers (especially in feet)? Do you wear wader boots or do you put your neoprene waders into normal winter boots?

snow boarding pants and rubber insulated packs or or water proof hunting boots i never come home wet.

I just have cabela's neoprene boot foot waders, i think they're 5mm, but i just wear long johns and sweat pants with one pair of wool socks. haven't gotten cold or wet yet ice fishing. I'm sure other methods like what Chrome Junky said work just as well, but I use what i have, and it works great even if it looks a little funny

dude your ice fishing it shouldnt matter what anybody looks like as long as they are warm and dry. lol. i think im going to make an investment designer ice fishing clothes so every body can look amazing while we are on the ice![cool][cool][cool]

Better have those designers around for breathables. They WILL make your butt look big...LOL
Speaking of breathables....anybody ice fish in them and regular wading boots.

I mean you can layer to stay as warm as neoprene, and from what I hear, if the sun is out, it can get warm. I know on the rivers, I have had to step out and remove some under clothing at times.

Plus you could go with a cheaper pair, because chances of getting wet from the small leaks they get is slim.

They block the wind and that is what gets you cold.

oh no!!!!! nobody wants there butt to look big on the ice! lol[laugh] i wear breathables when i fly fish and yes they are extremely warm even in the most frigid weather i fly fish the south fork in the middle of january and never get cold in them. but i just wear my old snowboarding pants out on the ice super insulated and water proof and breathable
